At The Meeting Room

I supplicate divinity with a voice of frailty and knees bent in awe and fatigue. My joy has been questioned and my peace impeached. Tough as I look, like a pillow my heart dents. My countenance is cast down as I contemplate tomorrow and the tedium it may bring as history beckons a repeat. Where am I? In the presence of my God, at the meeting room. The variegated tedium of being homo sapiens sometimes is a harsh reminder that we are dust and must need divine infusion. Man was made from the light weight part of the ground (dust). For him not to be moved by the wind (external forces), Jesus in his pre incarnate manifestation as the one who creates, added water to the dust to make it solid and breathe into him so the wind on the inside of him (His spirit) now controls him. Because of sin, we keep falling but in our frailty we must remember that we can call for divine strength. We can ask for help but the question is, who are we asking help from? Man, woman, beast, satan, God, who? Jeremiah inundated by the trouble of the present said 'Ah! Lord God thou hath made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and out stretched arm; Nothing is too difficult for thee. These words are now melodies of assurance and comfort but let's look at the words. Ah! Lord God - A reaction contained in an exclamation. Lord God here refers to Adonai meaning master or the one in charge or the controller. In other words, when in a situation, don’t just shout mogbe! Your reaction must be within the ambit of the knowledge of the Lord. Controller means He is in control and nothing takes Him by surprise. You must remember that He knows what you are going through and everything must work out for your good. His love for you cannot be questioned. Thou hath made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and outstretched arm - His personal revelation. There are things God has done for you and situations He has saved you from that become ebenezers, something you can hold on to and remind you that if He was with you then, He will be with you again and again. In other words, your personal revelation of his faithfulness to you should give you peace because He is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of Adam that He should change His mind towards you. The out stretched arm is His visible power meaning you can see a demonstration of His power in your life every day. For you to wake up every morning takes power. Left to satan you will be dead. Remember that anything and everything power, no matter who is manipulating it, comes from God as creator. Satan cannot create an iota of power, he just manipulates what's already created through the wisdom he was given when he was the praise and worship leader in heaven so don’t worry about him because within you is the dynamism of the divine operative. The Mighty God Almighty. So no shakkin! When it comes to you, He says no hair can drop off your head without his approval. If that's the reality of His word, the question you should ask yourself is do I believe it? Ok, ok, ok, so you are bald headed, no worries; your hair took permission to leave you. What a laugh! Nothing is too difficult for thee - Your declaration of faith. I believe therefore I speak. You must remember that without faith it’s impossible to please God. You simply must believe that He can do what He said He would do. The Israelites didn’t make the promise land because they didn’t believe Him. They saw His works (performance) but did not know His ways (His Heart) like Moses did. They didn't believe. Faith is a rest. If you believe God why do you worry? This is an indictment to us. What's your perception of God or how do you see God? Do you know Him only on a performance level, what He does for you like the Israelites? Or do you know His heart like Moses, David, Abraham, etc? Do you see Him as an old man living in the ozone? Or an ancient funky being with old school platform shoes, tight bell bottom trousers, snow white afro and a silver comb in His back pocket? Or a caring father who loves you like crazy. Your knowledge of Him will determine how you relate to Him and to other people. The Lord's Prayer begins by saying, our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name.... Our father - showing a paternal superintendence over us as the one who cares (vertical) therefore there must be brotherhood (horizontal). Vertical and horizontal gives us the picture of the cross therefore; He loves us all and died for us. But you say you love God you haven't seen yet you can't stand the person you can see. He hurt me, she broke my heart so I don’t want to have anything to do with her and I won't forgive and the lamentation continues. But God is our father? Mean while the only victim ever was Jesus, He was without sin but you sin every time so what’s your problem? Art in heaven - shows his place of domicile as Almighty God who isn't affected by what goes on on earth therefore He is in control of all as creator therefore, He can work everything to your advantage and He sees the end from the beginning. Then Hallowed be thy name - this is interesting. Hollowed means holy, sanctified or to be set apart. In other words, cause your name to be set apart from the rest of creation. Prove to me that you are God Almighty. Show me that you are not like the other gods who have hands but can't embrace legs but can't walk, eyes but can't see, mouth but can't speak. Prove to me that you can take care and protect me and everything that concerns me. Hallowed be thy name. The meeting room is a space of faith where you and God discuss anything and everything. Your relationship with Him determines how you relate with Him and the depth of what's bugging you that you tell Him (as if He doesn’t know already). He is all knowing but He is a gentle man so if you don't tell Him, He won't bother. He won't violate your will. Tell Him where it hurts. Do you like someone, does someone annoy you all the time, did someone try to dent your car while driving, do you need emotional strength, are you in trouble, are you stressed, are you dreaming of Italian food other than pasta, did you see a pair of ostrich or goat skin Ferragamo shoes, or the latest LV bag you can't take your mind of? As mundane as some may sound, He wants to know. It amuses Him a lot so make God giggle. It's the anthropopathic dimensions of divinity (His emotions; He laughs, He gets upset, etc). Just tell Him. He wants a father child relationship. Just talk to God for the fun of it. Prayer is simply talking to God. Start building that relationship now but remember you can also be disciplined by Him. He whom He loves He also chastises. There is the grace of God, that's free, the business of God, that's hard work and there is the government of God that's authority and vengeance so be careful. God is love but He is also a consuming fire. The fire part is for your enemies so relax. People please when you talk to God as your father; don't be a politician, just talk. Do you see your natural father and say dadidaaaadiii the one who gave birth to me, the one who bought me my first bicycle and married my mother, my very father of very daddy, Otumba popsy mi, alaye father. What a laugh. You don’t say that so what's with hailing God. Just talk. He's probably looking at Jesus and saying what's wrong with him/her. Don't get me wrong, there’s a place and a time for everything. Did someone hurt you? When you get to the meeting room, replay the entire thing before God. It will hurt, you may cry but replay every word every slap everything. Then while you are doing that begin to pray in the spirit (tongues). ....building yourself in your most holy faith praying in the Holy Ghost. As you pray, the power of God through love will fill your heart and the situation will become history, and the influence of the incidence will be broken and joy can fill your heart again. You may not even remember it anymore. The spirit makes intercessions for you and knows exactly where it hurts and therefore knows what to tell God. It’s by faith that it may be of grace. But if you still feel a little hurt go back to the meeting room (the throne of grace) and talk some more. The meeting room discussion is a face to face prayer where you tell God just the way it is. Whether it's the prayer of demand (you need something), thanksgiving (you don’t want anything you just thank God for everything), intersession (talk to God on behalf of someone else), which ever, your obedience and the kind of relationship you choose to have will determine how far you go with God. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. Abraham was God’s friend and David was close to his heart. Both men had their own wahala as human beings but their heart was different. I see your face and configuration but God sees your heart. Everything begins and ends with your heart. If you have fallen short of his mark (sin) tell Him you are sorry and move on. Sin breaks the fellowship but never the relationship. Seek first the kingdom and all the responsibilities of being a child and everything else will be added. What time is your meeting? Dr Mrs Loveth
